North American Menopause Society (NAMS) 2019 Annual Meeting

NAMS at 30: Making Menopause Mainstream

“I would personally like to invite you to join me for the NAMS 2019 Annual Meeting, September 24-28, at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, Illinois. Because NAMS will be celebrating its 30th anniversary next year, we’ve selected the theme NAMS at 30: Making Menopause Mainstream. We have an exciting program planned that will provide you with information and updates on today’s most relevant issues regarding menopause management and midlife women’s health, brought to you by a dynamic lineup of speakers,” says 2019 Scientific Program Committee Chair, Dr. Marla Shapiro.

“The 2019 Scientific Program Committee has been working hard on putting together a spectacular program. Here are just a few highlights of what we have planned for you:

“We’re excited to announce that Dr. Mamta Gautam from the University of Ottawa will address the relevant topic of Practitioner Stress and Burnout. We’re thrilled also to have Dr. Teresa Woodruff from Northwestern University present the Utian Endowed Lecture on The New Frontier: Averting Menopause at 22. “Our Plenary Symposia will address important issues surrounding midlife women’s healthcare, including among others, hormone therapy, hormones and the brain, lessons from the ViTAL trial, osteoporosis, women and their microbes, and colorectal and breast cancer.“We’ll also be offering a Menopause 101 course on Tuesday afternoon, September 24. Stay tuned for more details on this presentation. Our Pre-Meeting Symposium, co-chaired by Dr. Cynthia Stuenkel, will review the important aspects of perimenopause.
